6th December, 2004 - A3 Released - Windows XP Service Pack 2 support added
The third Alpha release of FreeBT including a number of driver-related fixes, including support for Windows XP Service Pack 2, can now be downloaded here. You can also browse the contents on-line here.

12th March, 2004 - A2 Released - SiliconWave support added
The second Alpha release of FreeBT can now be downloaded here. You can also browse the contents on-line here.

6th March, 2004 - A1 Released
The first Alpha release of FreeBT can now be downloaded here. You can also browse the contents on-line here.
A CVS server and web front end will come later. If you have any comments, please post them in the forums

The first Alpha of FreeBT, the Open Source Bluetooth implementation for Windows, will be available for download this week.

The first release will include the following:

  • Generic Bluetooth USB Hardware driver
  • User-mode HCI Command and Event abstraction
  • User-mode ACL (Data) abstraction
  • An MFC-based test program which demonstrates all of the above
  • The source code for all of the above, of course

The release will NOT include:

  • SCO (Audio) support (will come later)
  • L2CAP, RFCOMM or other higher level protocols (will come later)

The forums are up now but have not yet been primed.
